About the role

As the Sales Specialist, you will be accountable for delivering the quarterly and annual sales targets across the identified sales channels.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

Sales: Present and demonstrate an applied understanding of all platforms/solutions, as well as their business models, pricing and value proposition. Identify and proactively develop new sales and opportunities and provide first-line contact for leads where relevant. You will also need to promote the company at selected conferences and exhibitions and support Marketing with marketing material.

Account Management: To achieve the annual and quarterly targets, you will identify and communicate upsell, cross-sell and renewal opportunities. You will have to stay on top of accounts, making sure that customers/clients are serviced according to their needs. You will regularly meet with internal teams to find new ways to improve business and clearly communicate progress of initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible to generate progress reports and forecast and track key account metrics.

Stakeholder Management: Your role will also include identifying channel sales staff training and development needs, promoting and maintaining a positive working relationship between stakeholders by developing a keen understanding of them and managing engagement and communication.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years selling ICT solutions
  • Degree in commerce, IT or any other relevant degree
  • Account Management experience
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions
  • Excellent presentations skills and comfortable in professional and technical discussions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel across South Africa
  • Drivers license with own vehicle
